BATON ROUGE - Eight home games, including league contests against Alabama and South Carolina in Tiger Stadium, highlight LSU's 2012 football schedule, the Southeastern Conference announced on Wednesday with the releasing of next year's slate for all 14 SEC teams.
The release of next year's SEC schedule features the addition of Texas A&M and Missouri to the conference with the Aggies playing in the western division, while Missouri will reside in the eastern half of the league.
LSU's first game against the newest member of the SEC Western Division will come on Oct. 20 when the Tigers travel to College Station to face the Aggies. It will mark LSU's first game in College Station since the 1995 season-opener.
LSU will play every team in the SEC Western Division and will face Florida and South Carolina from the eastern side of the league.
LSU, which had previously announced its non-conference schedule for 2012, opens next season against North Texas on Sept. 1 in the first of three straight home games for the Tigers. LSU hosts Washington on Sept. 8 and Idaho on Sept. 15 before opening league play on the road against Auburn on Sept.
