Plaquemine Bank recognizes two retiring employees | Business
Title
Stephen Panepinto, president, CEO, and chairman of the Board at Plaquemine Bank and Trust recently recognized Geraldine “Gerry” Glynn for her 44 years of service during a retirement ceremony. Glynn began her banking career with Plaquemine Bank on April 1, 1968, the day the bank opened. “Gerry was with Plaquemine Bank literally since day one, and actually a few months before during its formation,” shared Panepinto. Glynn served as Vice President and Consumer Lender. Panepinto presented a framed certificate of appreciation to her in the presence of all the employees. Panepinto read a letter written by Glynn where she referred to her banking career as one of her life’s highlights and wished the Bank, its directors, officers and employees all the best.
Also on hand for the breakfast celebration and ceremony was Ginger Laurent, chief operating officer with Louisiana Banker’s Association. Laurent presented Gerry Glynn with a plaque and commended her years of service and dedication to Plaquemine Bank and the banking community. The Board of Directors and Officers also honored Glynn with a retirement dinner on December 15.
Also retiring after 13 years is Patricia L. “Patsy” Doiron. Doiron served in accounting. Panepinto also presented her with a framed certificate of service.
"It is bittersweet to have these two valued employees retire from the Plaquemine Bank family. We are happy for their accomplishments, but will certainly miss them,” said Panepinto.
